They said that last year and I was looking out for it every month and it never materialised. Here's to hoping it actually shows up now

I was going to say the same thing. Never saw it anywhere. Sainsburys never stocked it near me, not a small store either. It's about the size of two aircraft hangers.

Very impressive work:

Dark Side Index Issues 1 – 210! By Stuart Easton

"Our heartfelt thanks go out to DS reader Stuart Easton for doing a job that we have been far too lazy to do ourselves. Over to Stuart to explain:

‘As a genre magazine reader/collector for over forty years, I have accumulated a sizeable stash of treasured mags. As well as enjoying reading my subscription copies when they arrive, I also enjoy entering details into my own database application. This allows me to go straight to specific issues whenever I want to retrieve a review, feature, or whatever.

I have extracted the data for The Dark Side magazine and saved it in a pdf file. No graphics or introductions – just a plain old index for the entire set of DS’s issues 1 to 210. I hope you find this helpful and please feel free to use it as you wish. I have no objections to you sharing this file with other readers, if you want to post it on the website.’"

"Okay gang, time for a preview of Dark Side 211, which has my epic piece on Christopher Lee's vampire roles and a great deal more. It goes to press this Friday. On sale September 3rd but posted out a week earlier to subscribers barring acts of God or government. We are currently planning a move to monthly status on both DS and Infinity but need to get a few issues done in advance first because otherwise we won't have time to lounge about as much as we usually do in between issues. All of the gags in my editorial this issue are copyright The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club as usual"

The Dark Side DarkFest 4

DARKFEST IS BACK!

GET YOUR TICKETS NOW FOR DARKFEST 4! - £30:00

Saturday November 28th
12 noon to 11pm
Genesis Cinema
93-95 Mile End Road
London E1 4UJ

The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse have had a field day in 2020 so it’s only fitting that we decided to use these bad lads on our DarkFest 4 poster

There won’t be any long faces at this great event though, because we are going to have fun, fear and frolics all day long, with what we believe is our most amazing lineup of films and celebrity guests so far!

The venue as always is London’s magnificent Genesis Cinema and we’ll be taking over the big screen upstairs – as well as the kitchen and bar – for our annual gathering of fiends and family.

As anyone who has been before will tell you, DarkFest is about much more than watching great films on the big screen and meeting legendary genre celebrities.

It’s also a wonderful social gathering of like minded folk, many of whom seem to spend most of the day chatting happily in the bar rather than watching the films. If you’re one of them we’ll happily join you for a livener or two!

When you’re not chin-wagging or watching a movie you can browse the dealer tables selling film memorabilia, DVDs, Blu-rays, stills and posters.

We’ll also be showing some classic short films and trailers, and if you have been before then you know that we’re cutting our own throats to let you have all this for just £30

OUR VERY SPECIAL GUESTS:
  • Ruggero Deodato
  • Ian McCulloch
  • Robin Askwith
  • Dana Gillespie
  • Christian Roberts
  • Linzi Drew-Honey
  • Linda Marlowe
  • Judy Matheson
  • Caroline Munro
  • Madeline Smith
  • Norman J. Warren

Further guests to be announced!

THE FILMS:
  • CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST(1979)
  • ZOMBIE FLESH-EATERS (1979)
  • THE LOST CONTINENT (1967)
  • THEATRE OF BLOOD (1973)

DARK SIDE BOOK LAUNCH: ITALIAN HORRORS

I know Rick used to be on here before he got a bit of cash,
But i have to comment that his singular pictures when he focuses on a specific image from a film are much superior to the pictures when he just throws a load of random out of size pictures together and joins them together with vague fog, (ahem Salem's Lot).
In my opinion anyway.

For instance that picture of Jessica Harper on the italian horrors book looks a bit off to me.
