Yeah, these kind of movies are worth getting in multiple editions Anyone done a comparision on the transfers between the Shriek Show and Shameless versions of Bronx and Barbarians? |

How many copies will this boxset eventually be limited to?

Now that I don't know - there are another 750 waiting now for a chance to be sold. I know - it's an insane situation.

That one BW trilogy tin was still there in Gateshead's HMV for £30 when i visited yesterday and i reckon it'll still be there for sale next week! There's a few small holes in the shrinkwrap though so maybe that's putting any potential buyers off. If anybody's interested in this copy then let me know and maybe we can work something out. |

Is £30 the RRP for this box set? or has HMV cheekily raised its prices above RRP due to the demand? (and the fact that they blatantly monopolise the highstreet market now zavvi has gone). Can't wait to get a copy anyway, but £30 is a little steep. £20 would be much easier on the wallet (ps. I've been in 3 local HMV's in the last week and not seen 1 copy)

HMV raised the price since there are almost none left. Normally it's £20. |

Bought a copy in HMV Uxbridge today for £19.99. HMV Harrow also have one for the same price Watched the first movie. A very enjoyable film . Though I think a slightly higher budget and a bit more plot exposition could've vastly improved it! Anyone else notice the very quiet audio? Looking forward to watching the next 2! |

Well over the last few days I watched the three films, and I would say that Escape From The Bronx was the most enjoyable. The one thing that they do share in common is lousy dialogue, but then that is par for the course. Obviously none of them match the quality of something like Escape From New York, which must have influenced the first Bronx film, but they proved diverting. Regarding the presentation I was very pleased with the rather funky tin and the usual high quality sleeve design of the DVD cases. A lot of effort has obviously been put into these releases. Since I picked up mine for less than a tenner second hand I am pretty pleased. I also welcomed the trailers for the Argent titles although I was a little confused about the one for the Nun and the Devil. I had thought that that film was a non-anamorphic transfer and yet the trailer was anamorphic! Can anyone shed any more light on this misnomer?
