What's "The Cursed Medallion" about,can't say I've ever come across it.

Sounds a bit Exorcist'ish. Don't think I've ever seen it.

I have the Italian disc of this ( under the title Il Medaglione Insanguinato ). It is quite slow paced and some of the effects are a bit ropey, but it's got some nice set pieces and a nice spooky atmosphere to it. Plus, I always enjoy Massimo Dallamano's style of direction. I enjoyed this one.

It was released by Satanica (in widescreen) and cut by just over a minute. The whipping and bedroom assaults were cut though some previous cinema edits were restored.

I was also under the impression that the BBFC cut THE NEW BARBARIANS where our hero is raped by George Eastman.The website makes no mention of this but I'm sure the sequence on the dvd is longer than that on the old EV tape I used to own.

EDIT: I saw this on the IMDB " Original UK video release by Entertainment was censored. The new video and DVD release by Vipco is uncut and letterboxed."

So the rape scene was probably trimmed like I thought but by EV & not the BBFC.

Sometimes a distributor chooses to withdraw a submission after the BBFC has notified them of cuts, and in some cases go away and make the cuts then re-submit the cut version afresh. So the only submission is of the cut version which the BBFC state has been passed with no cuts.

I watched a bit of the 1993 release of The Beyond and one of the cuts made made me laugh:

When the mob throw 'the ungodly warlock' on the floor to chain whip him the cuts on the tape make it look like they have unintentionally dropped him.

Try the Satanica video of Night Of The Bloody Apes. Incomprehensible at the best of times (even uncut) but the edits made the film completely unwatchable.

The old PG version of Saturday Night Fever was hilarious. When I saw it at the cinema everyone roared when Donna Pescow yells "You FFF.....AKERS!!".

NOTBA is on my 'to buy' list but I havent had much luck finding iin stores.

Can someone please tell me what label its on uncut so as I can get it preordered on Sat when I go to get my ARROW dvd's.
