Although I have the uncut R1 release, this is still very high on my wish list and I'm personally trying to justify (to myself) the expense! I've just been on a bit of a spending spree for some Women in Prison/Nazisploitation films so I think I'll wait awhile before adding this to my collection.

So, by the time I have worked my way through my Jerry Lewis collection and my Luis Buñuel collection, it might have dropped a few quid. Who knows, by them and they have watched my R1 copy for a second time!

Imo Marc's contribution to Optimum's ALIAWS is the best thing about this release. Thanks to the man's usual hard work i've no doubt this restored print will be gorgeous to look at. It's just the sorry lack of extras putting me off paying top dollar for this edition.

Patience is a virtue and this DVD of Fulci's vintage giallo will surely come down in price within a few months like much of Optimum's output. Then i'll go in for the kill and grab the title in question.

Unless something more pressing comes up, I watched my Media Blasters/Shriek Show DVD this evening which will tide me over for a few weeks at least!

When i eventually buy Optimum's ALIAWS at a reduced price i'll be keeping both old and new SS DVDs for their extras and stick with the U.K. version for the restored print and upgraded PQ.

Same here -- I watched it last night and (again) thought it was a terrific giallo. The picture quality is pretty soft with some graining and the audio isn't as clear as it could be so that's why I'll double-dip to this Optimum release.

Regarding the price, it's currently being sold by Amazon for £11.99, which isn't unreasonable.

No, that's pretty average for a film like this. The only reason I haven't bought it yet is that I already own a version on DVD and I have plenty of unwatched discs to get through before double dipping.
