I'm not a huge fan of audio commentaries, so the Fact Track is a great idea. Apparently, this title is doing very well for Shameless, so it's good to know the hard work is paying off. A Fan Edition of other movies ( inserting deleted scenes etc ) would be terrific - Lady Frankenstein, for example...? |

Yep the detractors have nothing to moan about now.... Collectible covers, great films, quality transfers AND extras-what more could you want £15.99 should be the going rate for these releases Alamr..... Well worth it...

You're right with the Russell Brand comparison, I kept expecting him to start talking about ball bags!! I couldn't decide whether he looked more like Russell Brand or Bohemian Rhapsody-era Freddie Mercury! This is my favourite Shameless release so far and not just because of the extras (although the ones I've got through are great). I wasn't sure what to expect having never heard of it before so it was a nice surprise to have enjoyed it so much. The fact track is a great idea and I much prefer it to audio commentary, which I can rarely get through more than 10 minutes of. Great work, Shameless! Pretty good film was this and one that I think even Hitchcock himself would have enjoyed. I find the look of Venice to be really eerie for some reason and that alone gave the film a huge edge, it was also elevated by brilliant performances by Tomas Milian and Russell Brand. This is the best Shameless DVD I've seen to date. The presentation was beautiful and the extras were a really nice addition, especially the picture gallery and deleted scenes. I rarely bother with commentaries though to be honest. EDIT: And how could I forget the soundtrack to it? The main theme is beautiful.

Was watching this on Saturday—review on Lovelockandload shall follow this week—must say this film plays terrifically well second time around. I saw the film when it was released by New Entertainment World a couple of years ago but having been to Venice last year, I immediately recognised one of the locations: It's the Santa Maria della Salute in Venice. Took a picture of it when I was over there too: ...and here it is on a map of the city: |

Now that's a cool picture to have taken - I can only hope you didn't bump into any Russell Brand look-a-likes whilst there! Do post us a link here when your review goes up. |
