I've asked Shameless and will hopefully have an answer for you soon. I imagine the subtitles are done by someone fluent in Italian and who is aware of the various dialects, but I can't be sure.

I'd also like to see this sleeve's current film title go AWOL too and replaced with the movie's moniker we all know well.

Cool

No doubt I'll be a minority of one but I like the foreign language titles, makes them seem a little more unique/different than maybe they should be. But I bet I'm not the only one to flip their 'NYR' cover to the 'Squartatore' one.

You're not. In fact a few of my Shameless DVDs have the foreign/alternative title on display!

I use the art with the foreign titles so people who visit can think I'm really clever.

I was lead to believe that people who visit couldn't see anything.

The film titles are a good distraction - while they are standing there trying to figure out what it says, I creep up behind them and whack 'em on the head.
