I'm quite partial to the old bastard in the cardigan Bless 'im!

I've actually used him as my front cover after my mum expressed shock at the prolific use of the word "whore" in the yellow bit of my DVD collection! She doesn't seem to mind the shotgun-wielding be-cardiganed old gent!

She must be so proud that you're helping out the Shameless cause!

Tell your Mum I'm sorry.

No whores on the sleeves coming up! Just nice girls who come home on time and don't get murdered.

Haha... I think she's quite proud that I've turned my Facebook obsession into something lucrative - skiving off when I should be writing essays is now an artform!

I think she just wonders where the misogynist living inside her daughter came from!

I love the giallo genre and some of the films rise to the level of high art but most are misogynistic quite frankly and I've never seen the point in hiding away from that on the sleeves. I know the lingo used upsets some but not all the sleeves go that far and the next few are pretty safe. It has to said though that the less racy the sleeve the less we sell and it's not just a few less it's hundreds less.

In that case,I think you should make the covers as lurid and offensive as is legally possible and if it gets people talking then all the better, after all, they do say there's no such thing as bad publicity.Although,If my dear old mother looks through my dvd collection again and sees another one like Flavia and proceeds to ask me if thats another one of those "sexy films" I'll die of sheer embarrassment

Well we're not trying to go mad with every sleeve because after a while they just lose impact. That said I wouldn't show any to my Mum!

Can someone revive Almar with a party popper and a stiff glass of brandy now? The film got through uncut.

Party time now as another Shameless release gets through intact.

Party poppers ahoy indeed! Yes it's great news as to go put together the longest version possible only to then get it cut would be pretty hard to take!

Hope to have final final specs, sleeve and all the rest this week for your delectation.

Almar

I'll contact the IMDB and see if they'll update their entry for the film with mention of the Shameless release being uncut and a special extended version.

I've had some success with them of late (for a change) with updates to include mentions of the uncut Shameless releases of Late Night Trains, Flavia and Killer Nun.
