The BBFC will fight that all the way Noss.
There was an article in PS3 mag implying that the BBFC wanted to rate all Games as parents thought the PEGI rating was for age difficulty and are more familar with the BBFC cert. standing for age content.

Resi Evil 5 has already come a cropper to some group under race claims and had to have whites added , plus Little Big Planet sufered a delay as muslims were offended by a song in it.

A one rating group for all is what the games industry needs and should have.

Exactly! I am still baffled as to how, even today, some people don't understand the PEGI rating system. Or any ratings system to be honest!

Anyway the Best Game of 2008 has to be (for me at least) METAL GEAR SOLID 4 on PS3! It was everything I had hoped it would be and more.
I still have yet to play Metal Gear Online.

I also really enjoyed Manhunt 2 on PSP despite the censoring.

MGS games are great, MGS4 however was a total let down. It was nothing more than an interactive CGI movie.

Yeah but the excessive cut-scenes are to be expected in a Metal Gear game. I'm just glad you could pause them in MGS4!

Look at Vips trying to sound hard, as far as PES goes you will not win. I am the best player in the world, I'm so damn good that after every performance I even watch the highlights just to watch in amazement at how great I played.

I tell you what Vips, if you do beat me I'll let you have one porno from my own personal collection.

Regarding MGS. I felt that MGS2 as good as it was fell very short compared to the original. It was a movie first with gameplay almost used as an afterthought. It told a good story and it was certainly intriguing but I wanted to kick some arse and not sit back watching 20 minute film clips, play for 20 minutes and then the same. It was a tad frustrating.

I don't know what I find more racist... The depiction of blacks being shot at and kicked in Resident Evil 5 or the fact that someone has picked up on it as being racist.

Honestly when I saw the trailer colour didn't even register in my head. If only that was the case with everyone.

The cut scenes out weighed the game stages in this one though, at least in the past you were given the opportunity to play the game and not have to sit through it like some sub par CGI movie.

Plus the third act was appalling, having to follow some guy for the duration of the level was tedious.

MGS4 is a massively overrated game, there were so many better games released last year.

I wouldn't say MGS4 was overrated. Maybe in the games publications and websites but it very much divided opinions amongst fans of the series.

Currently I've been playing on Siren Blood Curse! Awesome game!
