To me it looks brilliant. I'd read bits and pieces about the original blu not looking brilliant so I'd held off but i picked that set up for £9.99 a few months back.

I've never seen Creature.

I've bought it twice over the years. One was faulty and the shop could only give me a refund. The second time an Amazon seller sent me another film called Creature about an Indian legend in the desert. it was actually pretty good fun so i kept it and never got round to returning it.

Actually, according to DVD Compare, the 25th Anniversary Editions have a new documentary (Scorcese's Goodfellas) in addition to the new booklet and 4K transfer. If so, it's practically a compulsory purchase.

With regard to the 25th Anniversary release of GoodFellas. My local HMV has rather oddly slapped 25th Anniversary stickers on the older standard bluray.

Having only now jumped on the Blu-ray wagon, bought a bunch of good looking goodies for upgrades. Ice Station Zebra, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), The Innocents, The Monster Club, Ransom (1974) and The Mummy (1959). This format looks like a new passion of mine, the quality is simply too much of an improvement not to care.

Upgrading your favourite films to Blu-ray will cost a lot of money, but at least it's not as expensive as it used to be. Also, as you are late to the party, you've missed 'flipper' discs and jewel cases and the biggest films – such as Goodfellas – have been released several times, so the newest (or most basic) version now is the one laden with extra features and with the best A/V quality.

While I have the uk box set, Mystery Train was going pretty cheap so decided to see if there was any difference. Double game was a lucky score from EBAY.

Have to be careful, yes. Lots to be on the look-out for with so much out now, think I chose wisely with these in terms of their particular releases new all of them.

I went to Sainsbury's today to buy Goodfellas, but they had sold out and weren't getting in any more stock until Tuesday, when they are expecting three crates!

Watched my copy last night, including High Rising's Cannibal doc. An amazing package to go along with their blu's of Cannibal Holocaust and The Beyond. Picked my copy up from Strange Vice, along with Nuke Em High 2, plus, got a couple of blu's from Japan delivered this afternoon.

Really need to pick up Cannibal Ferox soon, especially for the Eaten Alive documentary. Can't wait to see that

Had no intention of buying anything today, but this Eureka DVD in Caner Research charity shop for £1, well... just had to.

I really love that Bloodstained Shadow, a much underrated film with a great atmosphere. Might get the Blu myself now. Such a big talent and eye for the genre, unsung hero Bido had then.

Had a few movies delivered today,

Boarding House and Hunchback of the Morgue were from an ebay seller and were really cheap as buy it now listings and seemed too good an offer to refuse as paid £5 for boarding House and £7 for Hunchback including postage.

I have been wanting to buy Baby love for a while now and couldn't wait for the next Network sale but managed to pick it up for £6.

Yeah I love Watch Me When I Kill but haven't seen this one so looking forward to it.

Godewind 5th June 2015 07:26 PM

WMWIK is awesome, one of my faves too funny it's not loved more. Reminds me somehow of The Killer Must Kill Again in its vibe, different director of course but it's hard to put the finger on exactly why they're such special films, these three underrated giallo treats.

I was a bit surprised when he said that. Either the crates are very small, or they have been selling many units very quickly.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 5th June 2015 09:58 PM

Joe Pesci was asking shoppers if he amused them......hence the big sales.

Unfortunately sales in shoe shine were down 200%......
