great pick ups mate.

Thanks fellow V. ;) :D

I guess I could make some kind of video about it once I get there, just need to figure out how to make it interesting. I certainly would like to find a way to make some videos about games I've recently played.

Thanks for watching!

On a first glance it looks great, lots of info (since the very first haitian zombie movies) and amazing original posters/art, some in colour (which I love). Will dive into it in a few days...

If this is the social media/airplane horror then it's a bit rubbish but certainly diverting and enjoyable enough for £1!

I thought it was really good...but totally lost the plot towards the end and finished up very contrived.

Juan of the Dead is brilliant Suze.

Yeah, as it approached the ending it just got a bit silly. It started off ok even if all the social media/cyber-bully stuff was a little on-the-nose. Looked pretty convincing for a low-budget movie too, although my over-riding opinion of it all is still "a bit rubbish". Definitely worth 90 minutes of time in HD for £1 though!

My Escapees shipped yesterday, however mine came to about £10 inc. postage. I maybe should have waited!

I suspect it was a genuine pricing error. It disappeared at that price point quite quickly.

It's the Code Red release (limited to 3000 copies). It's available exclusively from Screen Archives Entertainment and should be region free (all of CR's Blu releases have been so far).

Bought this from Poundland on the basis of it being directed by Brian Trenchard Smith. I also quite like John Cusack, although it has picked up some pretty awful reviews. Still, you can't go wrong for a pound (or can you??)

I've spent a bit much lately or I'd be getting those Odeon titles too b-eye. What the Sherlock Holmes film like?

I rented it earlier on in the year and really enjoyed it. It covers the Jack the Ripper case in quite a sleazy but often quite 'fun' manner. There are some interesting and colourful characters and a few twists and turns to be had - certainly worth a look.

Should probably look this up but is Fairytale an Italian film? Came across it recently online somehow (iMDB, Letterboxd, can't remember) and seem to remember it being so. If so, only noteworthy due to the lack of such films these days

edit: thinking, was it also known as The Haunting of Helena or am I completely confusing the matter? :)

Yes it is Italian.

I reviewed it a few days ago here. https://www.cult-labs.com/forums/gen...tml#post451150

It would appear you are correct on both counts - 'The Haunting Of Helena' is also known as 'Fairytale', and it seems it was made in Italy

Plus, Scarecrows has a reversible cover with alternate poster artwork (which I never knew the film had until I searched Mr Google today).

Is that the same Scarecrows as the one where the aircraft goes down near an old house and graveyard?

I presume you've seen it before if it is.

If not, it's a cracking little film, you'll love it.

Cliffhanger, Dante's Peak and Daylight too. Fantastic stuff Stephen.

Yep, the very same. Seen it a few times now. Still have the R1 dvd from MGM, which my cousin forgot to pick up this afternoon

I could've bought the US discs of Daylight & Dante's Peak, which both have extras (these don't), but I've seen them all before and the artwork on the US releases suck, so the German discs it had to be.

I bet you didn't find anything in Burnley did you?

It used to be great for music and video (MVC, Our Price, Music Zone, HMV) now all gone, all there is left is a couple of Indie record shops and CEX.

I tend to find obscure stuff I can flog on Amazon. Occasionally some treats for myself. Found the JUDEX/NUITS ROUGE doube bill dvd there in British heart,
