I'm one of those guys that dont mind the dvds not looking perfect. I buy Mill Creek comps which are hit and miss quality-wise but I always have fun with the movies.

I have to agree with you, although I've now got a blu-ray player I've usually been a bit behind with technology and not that bothered. I still had an old crt TV until last year now I've gone technology mad.

Does Clerks have the Oh What A Lovely Tea Party making of Jay and Silent Bob on it? I don't think its mentioned on the cover but wondered if its actually on the disc.

Stephen@Cult Labs 5th October 2012 07:19 PM

Went into Glasgow today and picked up a few blu-rays. Thought I'd better get Plague Of The Zombies and The Reptile before more Hammer films are released.

I've just had a check and it does!

Slippery Jack 5th October 2012 07:37 PM

Someone mentioned The Witch's Mirror a while back and it sounded right up my street. I'd never heard of the Casa Negra label before - frustrating that they went under and all their super-freakin-awesome-sounding titles are damn pricey. Anyway, I bought that and The Black Pit of Dr M . . .

bdc 5th October 2012 08:07 PM

If you understand French or Spanish...these (and lots more Mexican titles CN didn't release) were also released on dvd in France.

Also just bought this. That's me done until next payday. Probably.

Rik 5th October 2012 08:49 PM

How much did you pay for it, it's been on my wish list for ages now?

It was just under £13 on eBay from a uk seller. I think it goes for around the same price, if not cheaper on Amazon marketplace. I got a bit caught up in the bidding excitement :)

Wes 5th October 2012 09:02 PM

I went multiregion recently and that's one I wanna get. Must get the two Corman Alien films as well - Forbidden World and the other one... I'm so broke right now, there's money flying out of my pocket on house repairs and car repairs, y'know things no one wants to spend the cash on... Send paypal donations to the usual address...

Universal Classic Monsters Collection: Limited Edition Coffin Blu Ray - Compare Prices at Find-DVD.co.uk

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 6th October 2012 09:39 AM

It may cost over £45, but it looks pretty damn awesome!

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 6th October 2012 09:43 AM

I decided to forego the standard release and order this limited edition version instead. At the moment, it's £47 at HMV and Amazon, but a bit less at Zavvi.

Nice! I am very tempted by that although the film is also available as a steelbook. Decisions, decisions...

Just had my DVD of Nosferatu The Vampyre turn up, it was listed as the 2 disc edition yet I've ended up with the single disc one. Before I unwrap it, is it any good or shall I sell it on and try pick up the 2 disc version? DVD Compare say it's to be avoided!:mmph:

It's not the original version (same as the dvd release) because it has SERIOUSLY been tampered with by Lucas....I personally think he ruined his own film.

I know, but with shipping and import duty, the prices work out about the same. It's extremely frustrating to see how the prices, versions, packaging and cut status of some items differ between the US and UK.

A trawl through the video stores in Hamburg this morning resulted in Blurays of:

Hard Candy
Theatre Bizzarre
Secretary
The Hamiltons

Together with my purchases in Bristol and the stuff Play have shipped I think I am set until Christmas.
