My record was marked at $11.95, although it was actually $20.00 ex. postage (which is still under the £18.00 customs threshold).

Is it from Nov 1st when they drop the limit to £15?

My postman brought me a generic 'Dear Occupier' letter (bin fodder) and my Mondo Tees Maniac Vinyl!

Just received a (German?) bootleg of AB's Ilsa, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks disc.

And this one...

It's the 1 discer without the tablet.
Never seen it so want to give it a spin first before I splash out on that collector's item...

German seller (not eBay btw),I noticed he was selling lots of German boots as well.
Thought this would be genuine...

It's a decent film, although it took a repeat viewing for me to come to that conclusion.

As for the Collector's version, it's a nice set if you do decide to get it.

Fortunately sellers like that seem to be few and far between (well, in my experience anyway), but it's so frustrating when you receive a dodgy copy of something.

Hammer Double Bill!

Vampire Circus
One of Hammer's best and lookin' very nice on the Koch release. Had to pay a little more for this than normal, but Synapse have region locked their edition so they can get stuffed.

Quatermass And The Pit
I love all Hammer's Quatermass films, but this one is definitely the best of the lot. Cracking blend of sci fi and horror that Nigel Kneale does so well ( The Stone Tape being another classic example ). And honestly this UK BD release from Optimum looks stunning. If this is the standard they are setting, I hope they release many more Hammers on Blu.

Well, the Postman struck with a vengeance this morning. Not only did he bring me my Italian Dellamorte Dellamore blu-ray, but also Cat O' Nine Tails on blu, The Woman, Atrocious, Eric The Viking, The Man With The Severed Head, The Devil's Kiss and The Cheerleaders on dvd.

I am supposed to be preparing for a seminar about Religion in the Atlantic World instead, however, I am watching Blue Underground's Blu-Ray of House by the Cemetery. It looks amazing in HD! Great natural colours and a nice amount of grain making it look the best that it has ever looked!
