I was going to get that one, but the bad photoshopping of Elizabeth Berkley's head on that body put me off.

Ok, if you bought the 25th annivesary blu-ray of blue velvet and you own the old uk sanctuary release dont chuck out the sanctuary one.

Its got a lovely velvet cover, and two featurettes and a booklet not included with the us blu-ray. The blu-ray is still the better buy for how bloody good it looks and the mysteries of love doc is very good but I think I shall keep hold of the sanctuary disc (in spite of its sky-rocketing value) anyway.

Best thing was I got the sanctuary special edition for £3.99 the day after it was released so bargain!

Nearly got all of the BFI Flipsides now and two more arrived yesterday: Private Road and Little Malcom.

Also picked up this lovely Takeshi Kitano boxset. I already owned 3 of the films, but at £12 it was an opportunity not to be missed.

And finally a humongous thanks to Wes for alerting me to the fact that there was an adaptation of JG Ballard's stunning The Atrocity Exhibition, which features a commentary track from one of the most important British writers of all time.

Greetings!

Just got a film called Hotel Harabiti from CEX in Slough. Never heard of it, but got suckered by the blurb on the back: "In the manner of Michael Haneke's Hidden, Dominik Moll's Lemming or Emmanuel Carrerre's La Moustache..." Dunno that last one (reckon I'll be checking it out though), but the other two deffo float my boat . . .
