Nice!

I finally upgraded to a 4K TV & Player last week. Spur of the moment thing.

You'll be able to buy all those forthcoming Rambo films now. ;)

Not the UK/European ones. I refuse to give money to any company who refers to First Blood as “Rambo: First Blood” (or who uses such crappy artwork [emoji23]).

Don't know why they couldn't use the original artwork.

bleakshaun 30th September 2018 09:06 PM

My mate gave me the first 2 seasons of Game of Thrones on blu ray today, as part of my Xmas so that happened.

Yeah, at least the US version has the proper title and at least uses an image of John J. near the original artwork.

Only the two for me, Revenge (which I’ve been looking forward to checking out) and Trespass.

For some reason Revenge is £17.99 on Blu-ray via Amazon, less than £10 in HMV.

On walking past a charity shop in Portchester the other day I caught a glimpse of something in the window. On closer inspection it proved to be the 2 disc collector's edition of "Creepshow". This one, in fact:
http://uweekramer.de/phpdvdprofiler/...2485837.4f.jpg
After looking around the window a bit more I spotted a copy of "The Amicus Collection", a bit like this:
https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/A60AA...N6c/s-l300.jpg but missing it's booklet.
Well I had to, didn't I? I mean 4 quid for both...

Yes you did my good man. Two excellent purchases. Although it begs the question what pillock gave them to a charity shop in the first place?

Don't jump to conclusions

Maybe it was a genuine lover of horror and cult films who has sadly died, and their belongings were given to the charity shops

Lost count how many mates just stream or rip stuff to a hard drive and get rid of the physical CD/DVD/BD 'cause... "It frees up all that room" I think we charity shop patrons have found just released DVD/BD a plenty, as to why they don't take em to CEX it's too much hassle to que up, just pop em into a charity bin or shop and watch the film via the drive, won't be so easy if the hard drive fails though...:scared:
