I was impressed with the picture quality of Evangelion too,very good!!

In my opinion the Eureka 7 movie wasn't very good at all, it's 70% recycled footage to create a new story.

I quite liked the aspect ratio changes as it let me knew what scenes where IMAX

Utterly agree. I aim to watch 1.11 at least once a month. Best BD for animation out there. I also like the over all feel of this revamped movie series. Much less pouty and down beat than the series, which was the one thing that really bugged me about what could have been an amazing show.

I mainly bought it BECAUSE it was Eureka 7 on Blu-Ray.
I agree that the movie was mostly re-hashed material from the series but at least it should look stunning in HD.
