(Grain-friendly!)

The Taking of Pelham 123 Remake-Not as good as the original, but as remakes go,not bad.

I think it's getting a bit ridiculous that people have to be told if a BD transfer includes film grain or not (and I'm not directing that toward Reaper, I just mean reviews in general). The whole selling point of BD was supposed to be that fact that you were able to get visual presentations of movies that equaled (or were as close as possible to) the ones you saw at the cinema, and now because of a handful of studios recycling old masters or going overboard with the DNR, we have to be constantly informed Hopefully one day, all BD's will be created equally and we can all buy our favourite films without worrying what they'll look like.

Only joking Steve.

For anyone who's a fan of FT13TH,then ignore the TERRIBLE artwork and get it.

Only prob is though,Kevin Bacon's rubber neck is more obvious than ever!

Ah...never happy the power of Blu Ray eh?

Who's bought and seen the sequels then?

Ive got the US Friday 13TH 3-D disc. The 3-D is shockingly bad imo.

That's because they made an anaglyph (blue/green and red) 3D version of it.
Anaglyph 3D is tricky to get exactly right and it gives you the blue/green and red color inference.
It was originally shot in 3-Depix (single strip 3D-polarized 3D),not anaglyph.
However it's impossible to reproduce the original 3d effect on dvd/bd.

"In order to be projected in the Polarization 3-D process and be viewed with clear glasses, the film required a 3-Depix Reverser to re-order the over and under images into separate projections. Tony Anthony himself was credited with designing a relatively low cost projection lens which made the film marketable for general release."

This was only possible in cinemas equipped with the lens and a silver screen (a white screen would absorb the polarized light waves)
This is also the reason drive-ins couldn't play the regular 3D version since they didn't have a silver screen.

Just finished watching Tango & Cash. Not seen it in a while. Looks really good, just as you'd expect from 21 year old movie. Action, comedy, Stallone and Russell, what more needs to be said? Stallone has been saying recently that he would love to do a sequel. Lets hope it all comes together.
