It's actually distributed via Momentum here so even less chance a UK BD will appear unfortunately (at least until their rights expire). This is why I decided to import the Scream Factory Blu-ray a couple of years ago.

I really rate the film itself and consider it among Carpenter's best, however I do know a lot of Carpenter fans who don't rate it much so it will be interesting to hear what you think of it Mr. Harker.

I was under the impression that StudioCanal (formerly Optimum) owned or had acquired Momentums catalogue, b-eye. They Live was originally put out by Momentumas part of there horror collection along with The Changeling and Prince of Darkness. A few others too.

I think they're affiliated in some way because the DVDs even have the Studio Canal title card before the film.

It's one of my favourite John Carpenter films due to the story, visuals, soundtrack, and performances. I have the Shout! Factory/Universal Studios Home Entertainment collector's edition DVD which, if I remember correctly, looks and sounds superb.

If you like it as much as I hope you will, you may want to look into upgrading.
