In theory I agree with you, however (and I'm mainly thinking of low budget horror-fare here) this may be beneficial for certain films which were perhaps shot with cheap low-res cameras, in poorly lit studios or outside at night.

Burial Ground has been brightened for instance and looks all the better for it (in my opinion of course - others may be of the opinion that not being able to see certain things in Burial Ground is a blessing! :tongue1:)

Das Boot was in CEX. Poundland had stacks of copies of Haywire. Not seen it but for a quid it doesn't matter if its rubbish.
