Yeah, I have a varied taste in music, Zep being one of my favourite bands for years now. I was gutted that I didn't get tickets for the o2 gig, but watching it last night on the big screen kind of made up for it, Kashmir alone was worth the entrance fee, absolutely breathtaking!

You're quite right.I've just had a quick look at both DVDs and they do seem to be direct ports of the old Anchor Bay discs.Slugs is, apparently, fully uncut too.The original UK VHS release was cut. :)

this arrived today, it's a DVR but it's 16:9 widescreen with really great audio and the PQ is fantastic. Had to go DVR because as we all know it's currently not available anywhere on Legit DVD.

*Whisper* I've had a pirate/bootleg copy of this since pretty much the day of the concert. Didn't you find parts of it to be very boring and tedious?

**Note** - I AM a fan of Zeppelin!

My Daimajin set from mill creek turned up the other day, just checked them out. Supurb quality all round and region free. Worth considering at the right price.

I received Demons/Demons 2 (€14,83) and The Cat O'Nine Tails (€10,25) from Zavvi the day before yesterday. The steelbook is in perfect condition in spite of being transported in air bubble envelope.

I actually did start to nod off during some parts, but I was tired due to lack of sleep the night before

Incidently, I've just returned from an acoustic open mic night where me and a fellow Halifax muso did a rendition of Stairway, first time I've ever played it live on acoustic with him singing, actually went rather well, including the solo

EDIT*** p.s.

Blood beast is £13.95 of ZAAVI on pre-order, thats actually quite cheap, worth pre-ordering if you fancy it imo.

I may sell my Redemption-Kino version to buy this Odeon release... Better artwork + I want to support Odeon so that they continue to release gems like this and WITCHFINDER GENERAL :D

Its actually got more extras as well, a commentary track and other stuff.

I'm keeping the redemption release as it would spoil the collection i've built up. Besides it didn't cost me a great deal when I bought it.

Excellent pick-up, it certainly looks legit. This might be the best option to see the film for the foreseeable future, I've heard Michael Mann is actively keeping the film out of circulation (supposedly his director's cut runs close to 180mins) but I'm not so sure if even Michael Mann would have the muscle to force Paramount to bury the film.

I love the UK VHS sleeve...

and this is the best cut from Tangerine Dream's soundtrack....

I've always wanted to see The Keep. I'm told is one of Michael Mann's most under-rated and unknown films, which makes me want to see it even more .

I'm going to rent the BD, probably before buying it as I was unable to get to the cinema to watch the show.

Congrats on tackling such a great song and succeeding. With such a great piece of music, there is only a small margin for error, so kudos.

Cheers, playing it on an electric is fine, been doing it for years, but on an acoustic it's a whole different thing!
