My wife and I are currently going through the Marvel catalogue (in order of release), having seen Infinity War & loved it. We are up to Thor, still brilliant & funny, cast and director suit the story. Iron Man 2 was a bit slow but better than when we first saw it with all the expectations at the cinema. Wondering how many we can get through before Black Panther is out on June 11th.

What made you watch them in release order rather than chronological order? I watched seven chronological order (starting with Captain America: The First Avenger) and I thought it was better that way because you could see how Howard Stark has influenced things, organisations like HYDRA and S.H.I.E.L.D. developed and references to past events make more sense that way.

That is a point, lol! We thought we'd see if it all added up, so to speak, as they were making them. Obviously the Ed Norton Hulk is the odd one when you know he hated the final film & refued to promote it. The effects & look of the Hulk are (imo) much improved, if not perfected with Ruffalo in Avengers Assemble, and he is probably my favourite actor to play Banner.

Will be interesting to watch Captain America again as I loved it & my wife hated it, and sadly she seems to pre-judge films before she tries them again, so don't think I'm changing her mind on that one.

My missus was exactly the same on Captain America. Hated it. Yet she loved Agent Carter which had very much the same feel and vibe going on.
