I only have the Abbot and Costello movies that are linked to the Universal monsters. I am not interested in the rest. Strange that what we thought as really funny about this duo when we were younger, we now can't stand them.
I think most of the laughs were due to Costello's expressions and shouting around.

You seen Carnivale before, Treb?

I saw it when it first aired in the US and thought it excellent.

yes, also thought it was excellent shame it was cancelled because of how expensive it was to make.

Bought del Toro's Pacific Rim on blu-ray for 3 quid. I'd previously seen it (at home) and completely dismissed the film. But having recently bought a much larger television, I was really struck by a trailer on another WB disc. I think this is a film which you can only properly judge by watching on quite a big screen. I've skipped through the bd out of curiousity and the PQ is really amazing. This may even be my very best looking blu-ray. Looking forward to properly viewing it (with a couple of beers) on my next day off. :)

The dvd's in the first photo were 20p each except Green Mansions and The Children's Hour which were a £1 and the Chaplin set was £2.50 from our village charity shops. The big sleeve editions were 2 for £10 from Tesco's Direct as part of their clearance sale but used a club card voucher and paid £8.50 in total. Fast and Furious 8 contains the 4k UHD disc along with dvd and bluray.

Finally managed to get a reasonably priced Synapse steelbook of Suspiria which got delivered yesterday along with Xtro from Amazon.

Bought City of the Living Dead (US edition), The Royal Tenenbaums, The Darjeeling Limited and Don't Look Now blu-rays.

Preordered The Shape of Water, Alice Sweet Alice, The Changeling, Solo, Avengers Infinity War, Deadpool 2 and The Life Aquatic blu-rays. A Police Story 1/2 double bill is also on preorder.

This is gonna sound really odd but after 10 years of collecting, there's currently no other region b or region friendly blu-rays that I actually want. I'll have collected all of the available, english friendly films that appeal to me.

Maybe I'll consider getting a multi-region player at some point in the near future?

Got Umbrella Entertainment’s re-release of The Beastmaster after seeing that it now had a reversible cover without the rating [emoji106]

Oh, and this one is now Region Free for anyone interested.

Haven’t seen that film since I was a kid, I seem to remember part of it scaring me but I did watch it every time it was on TV, might have to pick this up myself
