Cult Labs - What Have You Bought Recently?

I've heard really good things about the transfer on this one, and as it's my favourite Carpenter film, I'm really looking forward to giving it a spin!

I don't know where it would rank if I made a list of my favourite John Carpenter films but, and I know this may be cinematic heresy, but I prefer it to Rio Bravo. The remake isn't bad either, but it isn't a patch on the original, even though it has dated slightly.

It wasn't great, but it was a functional thriller with a really good cast: Gabriel Byrne makes a fine bad guy, Laurence Fishburne is suitably menacing and both Maria Bello and Drea de Matteo are worth watching in just about anything!

The awesome Oaxaca sold me the Alien 2: on earth and Maniac Blu-rays which arrived today. Can't wait to put them on. Cheers buddy

I was wondering whether those Troma Blus come in green HD cases Pete?

I've seen them advertised as such on some sites, but others have them in the standard Blue coloured cases.

Normal blue case. I wonder if the green ones were limited editions?
