Despite trying not to buy anything until I've got my 'to watch' pile down a bit, I couldn't resist these bargains - less than £6.50 for the lot!!

Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (Optimum)
All the Boys Love Mandy Lane
Urban Legend 3: Bloody Mary
Storm Warning (Optimum)
The Eye (remake)
Steel Trap

Shamefully, this was missing from my collection so I've ordered Halloween: H20: Twenty Years Later. I'm not really a big slasher fan and only on the first three Friday the 13th films and only the first Halloween one -- I intend to buy number two soon.

Watched Wong Kar Wei's CHUNGKING EXPRESS on bluray (artificial eye) last night. Obviously the film is superb, certainly one of my favourite ever Hong Kong releases. The cast (Brigitte Lin, Faye Wong, Tony Leung & Takeshi Kaneshiro), the camerawork, the cinematography, dialogue, everything is class.

Picture quality is decent, definitely an improvement over the DVD, very grainy in places. The colours are terrific though.

If I had to choose 1 Hong Kong film to take on a desert island with me, it would be this one! And considering it has no martial arts, thats saying something

Bought Arrow's City of the Living Dead and also ITV Studios' Black Narcissus. Can't wait to get watching these 2 with their reportedly eye-popping HD pictures!!

I like the use of the Phantasm II poster for Massacro.

So are you going to watch those over the weekend or put them on a shelf and look at them lovingly for a while?
