Far superior to the TV series. Though I still have a soft spot for that.

I only really bought it because it was very cheap and I've never seen the film.

Finally got around to ordering The Friends of Eddie Coyle. Been after it for ages and with planetaxels free shipping was a price I was happy with. Also bought the Tim Roth film No Way Home which I thought was brilliant when I saw it on video back in the 90s. It only cost a penny and I don't know what the transfers like but at the price I can't complain.

THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE was brilliant. It really is one of the best 'haunted house' movies, with loads of weird camera angles and atmosphere. Brilliant cast and house + superb ending. Koch's release was also good in terms of PQ. It wasn't mind-blowing but sharpness was overall decent especially with close-ups and outdoor scenes. Image & grain were stable and very light throughout + no specks on the print. Only 1 scene stood out as a really bad exception with loads of noise, but aside from that I was pretty happy. I'd give it 3/5 transfer wise and 5/5 for the film itself.

Going to watch Ugetsu Monagatari again now. Don't usually do this but I liked it so much yesterday I feel I need to see it again.

Completely agree with your assessment of The Legend of Hell House, mate.

I also have the Koch BD, and it does look very nice indeed!

had a few more BD's today

I've got a few of these and the two that really show the format are Alien and Apocalypto - incredible. My vote for all time mind blowing picture quality is The Skin I Live In - it's like looking in a mirror. I loved Taxi Driver too, among 100 others...

I haven't seen it, but Green Snake is supposed to be a great film.
