It's the film that has a sequence of a man in front of a firing squad, isn't it, and he gets shot point-blank in the head, which blows off half his face...but the poor bugger doesn't die, and it is shown in close up and loving detail
That description alone has made me feel sick, definitely not a film for me to watch

Not really my cup of tea as well but certainly thought provoking...

I saw that footage in another sock doc and it was horrible - though not as bad as that diving accident that was on YT in which the guy misses his jump and smashes his face on the ground and it splits in half.

New arrivals...first part of a UK dvd/bd wish list I've been meaning to get ordered for some time now.

More - Dual Format Edition (1969) (BFI) Blu-ray+DVD
Casino Royale - Collector's Edition (1967) (MGM/Fox) Blu-ray
Pulp (1972) (MGM)
Slaughter High (1986) (Arrow)
Mission Galactica: The Cylon Attack (1979) (Playback/Universal)

Also picked this up at work yesterday (2,50 Euro):

Canon PowerShot G3 Digital Camera

Seems to be working fine and came boxed with everything (including a Photoshop disc) but no software/drivers disc and only an Italian manual.
Already found an English pdf manual and all necessary software/drivers at the US Cannon site.

The battery pack needs a replacement though,I'll probably replace it with a Duracell replacement battery (seems they're even better than the original Canon ones).
So another 15 Euro and I'm ready to go.

I also can make small movies with this camera btw.

For a second I thought you were talking about the Yuri Lipski dive video. Not very graphic blood wise, but very VERY shocking. Enough to make my fear of open and deep water worse!

The footage I'm talking about is absolutely horrific. Just really really horrible. If you want to see it I can give you the link.

He was as tough and romantic as the city he loved. Behind his black-rimmed glasses was the coiled sexual power of a jungle cat...New York was his town, and it always would be.

bdc, PaulD, SharonLynette and 1 others like this.

I need both this and Annie Hall (one of my all-time favourite films) on bluray at some point.

Paul, both are 10 bucks over Deep Discount DVD (that's half-price compared to Amazon's $19.95)...
