Appleseed Ex on Blu should be stonkingly good, as for GITS(bad initials eh) you might want to pick up no. 1 first tho.

Did you get the old or new (with the OVA) release?

Ex Machina doesn't really appeal to me that much so I haven't bought/watched it yet,I did like Appleseed (2004) and Appleseed (1988).

I'm guessing here but I think it's exactly the same as the new version except for the cover and the OVA (on dvd).
So you're only missing the OVA (short special).

This weekends purchases are Come Out and Play which is released onto blu-ray less than 6 weeks since its festival appearance at Fantasy Film Fest and No One Lives which I saw back in February at Fantasy Film Nights. I enjoyed both on the big screen and am looking forward to revisiting them at home.
