I have a few of those widescreen on side a and pan and scan on side b discs, the 90s were a wild time I remember all of the Friends DVDs had 4 episodes on each side. I can't imagine that dual layer was more expensive than putting two single layers on opposite sides of the disc.

Nice shiny jewel case and all.
The "nice shiny jewel case" has done what many like that did some years ago – it has broken at the corner where the front hinges onto the back.

It's a stupid design, a dangerously vulnerable way to house a DVD.

Ouch! I think i only have two of them - Lock, Stock and Van Damme's Knock Off and both are thankfully fine and intact.

I have quite a few, possibly 10, including Lock, Stock…, the seven releases that made up the first two seasons of South Park, Twelve Monkeys, and The Opposite of Sex.

Never bought as many discs at the Air Ambulance shop as i did today. The Tony Hancock Collection is still sealed (As is Thor: Fragglerock). I've never seen any of it so a total blind buy, all 1073 minutes of it. Only cost £3 too. The Blu's were a pound each. Chappie is another i've never seen.

I was dead chuffed to find Crimson Peak. An actual horror Blu-ray.

They'll probably be getting The Last Jedi back because i doubt it's improved since the only other time i saw it.

Sherlock Holmes A Game of Shadows was a two movie set with the first Holmes film. I've already got that so when i'd paid my pound for it i told them to throw the box away and they could have the first film back to put out on the shelf.

The back cover is along essay by Galton and Simpson and it starts with the words

"We hope you are reading these sleeve notes having purchased this boxed set from a bona fide dvd supplier and not standing next to the second hand dvd shelf in your local charity shop".

Seeing as it's still sealed they'd never know.
