There are a lot of comedies that haven't had Blu-ray releases. What i would call classic indie comedies such as The Real Blonde (1997) and Dogma (1999) as well as stuff like 2004's Club Dread and One Night at McCools (2001).

Films i've watched many times over the years on dvd and would love to upgrade them as they are personal faves of mine.

There's a ton of Weinstein stuff in the hands of a certain exec so it's doubtful we'll ever see them released again. Dogma is one i believe.

'Everybody's Talking About Jamie' - Was at the cinemas in 2021, and is available on Amazon Prime, but we are still waiting for the DVD and / or blu-ray release

Yes, I know the poster is for a live theatre screening-performance and NOT the actual movie version (but either one would make a nice release!)

Was it released theatrically?

According to Deadline, it "came to Disney via the Fox merger due to New Regency?s attachment, was originally set for a theatrical release a few times (Oct. 23, 2020; Jan. 23 and then Feb. 26) under the 20th Century Studios label, but the pandemic upended that with Disney ultimately pulling the LGBTQ+ release off the calendar."

After this, the rights were bought by Amazon Prime and they probably want to keep them making it exclusively available on its streaming service.

Apparently so, albeit in a very small capacity

According to IMDB it played at the Edinburgh International Film Festival (August 20, 2021) and then had a limited cinema release (from September 10, 2021)

But that seems to be the way it went everywhere - festival appearances in the US, Germany and Hungary and then an extensive 'internet release' worldwide
