If Nordy had made that vital call it would have set that anime top 10 back an extra week.
Im sure if i had went with Dystopian alone people would of said is post apocalyptic included and visa versa. Sometimes its hard to do right

So post apocalyptic in no order.

Mad Max. George Miller
Mad Max 2. George Miller
Mad Max Fury Road. George Miller
Reign of Fire. Rob Bowman
The Matrix Trilogy. Wachowski Bros
Waterworld. Kevin Reynolds
Terminator Salvation. McG
Wall.E. Andrew Stanton
Day of the Dead. George A.Romero
Hardware. Richard Stanley

I suspect I'm practically alone on at least two of those. Next is dystopian, which seems a little harder to classify.

Dystopian

Equilibrium. Kurt Wimmer
RoboCop. Paul Verhoeven
Dredd. Pete Travis
Escape From New York. J Carpenter
Things To Come. William C.Menzies
The Running Man. Paul M.Glaser
Blade Runner. Ridley Scott
Watchmen. Zach Snyder
They Live. John Carpenter
Judge Dredd. Danny Cannon

There a few others I'd like to include that while dystopian aren't really futuristic in any way and as such seem out of place with the post apocalyptic/dystopian theme. I did want to compose a list of films that were both post apocalyptic and dystopian at the same time but can only really come up with the Matrix films and Terminator Salvation.

I know it's not got a great rep but The Running Man was one of the first Arnie films i ever watched and is still one of my favourites.
