I think a lot of Almodovar films while not being strictly Horror have strong horror overtones. Bad Education is another one.

I still need to check out the bottom five from your list, Dem.

I'll get them added to the rental list.

I'm not sure exactly how good or bad Sint is. It's become an annual Christmas tradition. I love it as it's exploitation at it's finest - gore, nudity, zombies and Christmas - you can't get more exploitative than that.

I'll put it on my 'wish list' and buy it before December for my Christmas viewing. Remind me to let you know what I think (or buy it) in the first week of December as my mind will be full with having (hopefully) just finished a dissertation and a couple of smaller assignments for University.

This is a tough one. There are a few of the most well-regarded ones that I haven't had a chance to watch yet (Kill List, A Girl Walks..., It Follows), and some more on your lists that look great.

Anyway, my list, minus the stuff my incompetent butt hasn't seen.

1. The Witch (helplessly in love with this film, still)
2. The Babadook (love it, though don't know if I could put up with that kid's shrieking again to watch it a second time!)
3. Black Swan
4. Only God Forgives (contentious genre-labelling, maybe, but I absolutely see it as a horror due to the tone, even more than the violence - same as no. 3, I guess)
5. Father's Day (Astron-6 - horror-comedy, but I think they count)
6. What We Do In The Shadows (same!)
7. Insidious
8. Attack the Block (saw someone else mention it and thought I'm having that! aliens = basically monsters, and it's a great movie!)
9. A Serbian Film
10. Sightseers

Someone mentioned Stoker as well. I wouldn't count it as horror myself, but I friggin' love that movie. Honourable mention to The Void and Lords of Salem which I wouldn't say are great movies, but they definitely have great bits and try new and interesting stuff, so I've got a lot of time for them.

Wake Wood was on my shortlist but ultimately got whittled off. I've had The Shrine for ages but haven't got round to watching it yet.

There are several where I haven't seen, so will be going on my 'to watch' list.
