Taste the Blood of Dracula is the first Hammer film I remember being allowed to watch as a kid and Near Dark had to be first on the list before all the Loser Boys fans get posting.

I bet your folks thought 'He won't try sneaking out at night once he's seen what happens to the young folk in this'. Geoffrey Keen is as much a monster as the Count.
