Surprised not to see A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, 30 Days of Night, Blade II or Only Lovers Left Alive on your list as I thought you'd be a fan of at least one of them.

Not seen the two in yellow. I have got OLLA but not watched it yet.

30 Days of Night is a mess that feels like it happens in one night and it's that long since i saw Blade II i can't remember a thing about it.

I highly rate all four, preferring Blade II to the first film, but I love almost everything Guillermo del Toro does – there's something about his aesthetic and storytelling which resonates with me.

It would be good if you have time to watch Only Lovers Left Alive and find a way to watch A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night before next Tuesday to see if they change your list.

I'll maybe give OLLA a go this weekend. I'm not buying anything else this week though as i've already spent £52 on discs and it's only Tuesday so there's no way i'll be seeing AGWHAAN

I hope you like it, and buy or borrow AGWHAAN sometime before Halloween.

It is indeed. In my opinion it's Boll's best film which might not be saying much but it's good violent fun and has a surprisingly good cast.

The only film of his I've even seen properly is In the Name of the King. I actually like it and it's got the maddest cast ever. Statham, Liotta and Burt Reynolds.
