REC and er ... maybe Cloverfield. That's about all I can come up with? Does Series 7 count? Probably not...

Gonna make some stretches to hit 10 because I've seen more than 10 actual found footage films but I refuse to put some of the absolute shit I've seen on a Top Ten list.

10. Behind the Mask: Rise of Leslie Vernon
9. Frankenstein's Army
8. Cloverfield
7. V/H/S 2
6. Rec
5. The Blair Witch Project
4. The Bay (Watch it if you haven't seen it, very impressive)
3. Rec 2
2. As Above So Below
1. Cannibal Holocaust

Some skip between footage formats, actual film and found footage, or are just a bit silly (looking at you frankensteins army)

But I recommend all on that list. Maniac, Enter the Void and Sinister are highly reccomended POV films or on the topic of found footage, whilst the original VHS and District 9 fell just short of the 10.

Anything else I've seen that's found footage and isn't mentioned anywhere above doesn't deserve a mention

Top 10 Found Footage Films:

The Blair Witch Project
Diary of the Dead
Cannibal Holocaust
Cloverfield
Troll Hunter
[REC]
[REC]2
My Little Eye
Man Bites Dog
The Bay

That's in no particular order – I could probably do slightly different list on a different day, but that's what I have at the moment.

Ditto!

This is going to be tough - it's a sub-genre I'm not that keen on.

I can't even think of 10 I've seen, it's not my favourite genre to be honest, thrown a few non-horror films into the mix, one of which I don't even like, in fact i hate, can you guess which one it is?

  • The Blair Witch Project (1999)
  • Cannibal Holocaust (1980)
  • Chronicle (2012)
  • Cloverfield (2008)
  • Project X (2012)
  • [Rec] (2007)
  • Troll Hunter (2010)

I was thinking Project X. I haven't seen it myself but have heard from many sources how bad it is.

Project X yes, I actually scored it 1 star on Letterboxd. It's a well made film but the message is so disgusting it made me angry

Just include the sequels:

'Paranormal Activity' alone will take up 1 - 5
'V/H/S' will give you 6 - 8
'[REC]' series will take you into double figures

So now I'm interested out of morbid curiosity!
