Creature FX scenes. Or practical fx scenes maybe?

It's the first Russian horror film Viy, about a monk who watches over the coffin of a dead girl and supernatural stuff happens.
It's low budget and a little creaky but i love it.
keirarts and J Harker like this.

Yep, there are quite a few releases on Amazon, there is a U.K dvd from a few years back but it's a bit pricey now.
Also called Spirit of evil.
Think it's on you tube too.

Sorry I'm a bit late with posting last week's topic, but I had a migraine last night. I couldn't just choose 10, so this is my list.

Aliens – I remember being at school and knowing these lines and scenes even though I hadn't seen the film, and practising the trick with the knife using either a pen or a compass!

Karate Kid – Another which I thought was cool and tried at school.

Pulp Fiction – Samuel L Jackson can play cool so easily, and I thought this scene was incredible.

Die Hard – Almost impossible to pick just one moment from this film, so I've cheated and chosen two! The cool thing about the second clip is the way he has the gun duck taped to his back.

The Dark Knight – I went into this film with high expectations of Heath Ledger's portrayal of The Joker, and he managed to make the character both cool and terrifying.

The Usual Suspects – Another film with numerous cool moments, but the ending when everything falls into place, and 'Verbal' walks out of the police station was mind blowing.

The Great Escape – It's Steve McQueen on a motorcycle trying to avoid Nazis – I don't think you can get much cooler.

Ghostbusters – So many to choose from, but this scene has such brilliant exchanges, funny lines, and cool characters.

The Maltese Falcon – "Well, sir, what do you suggest? We stand here and shed tears and call each other names... or shall we go to Istanbul?"

The Matrix – The lobby scene is cool, but then so is the way Trinity 'learns' how to fly the helicopter and they go after the Agents with a mini gun.

Casablanca – Humphrey Bogart played so many cool characters in films noir, but Rick is a superb character and the way he plays both sides, putting others first when he feels it's in their (and his) best interest is very cool. I couldn't choose between between the Marseillaise and the way he just casually guns down Major Strasser to allow Ilsa and Victor to escape is very cool, as is Capt Renault's reaction

Gladiator – "My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, Commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next."
