I'd really like you to explain this one.

Seriously. I'm interested.

  • Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
  • Bride of Chucky (1998)
  • Cat People (1942)
  • Crimson Peak (2015)
  • Hellraiser (1987)
  • Let The Right One In (2008)
  • Night Of The Creeps (1986)
  • Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979)
  • Phantom of the Paradise (1974)
  • Return of the Living Dead 3 (1993)
Some excellent choices there Justin. Crimson Peak in particular.

Long answer: There's the obvious spark between Betsy and Paul and how she is clearly falling in love with her employer whilst at the same time caring for his wife, Jessica. It's also touted that Jessica wanted to run off with Wesley but Paul would not let her go. It's basically all a bit of a love triangle (square!) to the backdrop of voodoo and calypso music. A fine film however you look at it though.

Short answer: I logged into my Criticker account and ticked the box that says 'Romance' in genre and posted the top ten highest rated films that appeared in the results list.

Oh, I did think about what results to include as some of them are scored equally, plus some I didn't quite think they qualified as 'romance'. I'm a very quick thinker!

I've never seen IWWAZ as a love story. Still don't.

Dammit, I forgot Mike Nichols' The Graduate 1967. I'd rank that pretty high.

This is going to take some doing. My long list currently has 42 films! Cutting it down to 10 is going to be all but impossible.
