Not really as you can take out the Christmas settings and still have two great films.

At no point is the message in Die Hard that terrorism is good!

You can set Gremlins at Easter and I think it would still be a great film, same with It's a Wonderful Life, The Thin Man or The Shop around the Corner. If you set any of the Christmas Carol films at Thanksgiving, the story still works. However, setting them at Christmas makes the events more emotive, engaging and poignant.

I was going to do 'Woman in black" too but then remembered "Curse of the Werewolf".

Has no one else seen "Scream of fear"? I really liked it when i saw it.
