You should probably try and see these

Seabiscuit
Master and Commander The Far Side of the World
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
Isolation
Doghouse
The Damned United - great film even though it's a football biopic, it's more human drama. I don't think anyone kicks a ball the whole film.

I have been aware of all the above except Isolation, which sounds quite interesting. Doghouse has always had me put off from the outset because of Danny 'Dire', and the rest haven't inspired any interest from me in checking them out in the slightest... however, now you've listed them here I may in fact seek some of them out - Sky Captain probably being the most likely one I'll get something out of.

All very good films.

There are a few of the films on your year by year list I haven't seen, but only three I would class as 'great' films:

Lost in Translation
A Bittersweet Life
Pan's Labyrinth

The ones I haven't seen are:

Euro Trip
Club Dread
The Hazing
Isolation
Boy Eats Girl
The Holiday
Abominable
Laid to Rest

Dem introduced me to The Hazing last Halloween and it was a pretty fun sorority style horror that I'd definitely say was worth a look.

Laid to Rest, despite a little dodgy acting here and there, is a bonafide modern-day slasher classic in my opinion with great effects work, death scenes and a terrific killer - highly recommended.
Demdike@Cult Labs likes this.

You don't think A Tale of Two Sisters is a great film?

Shame on you, Nos.

Besides it's not a final list it was the ones i am considering for a top whatever should this list hopefully take off.

I know my number one. The Witch.
