Final Cut are the guys who finally released the Death Wish sequels uncut on UK DVD.

the blob 29th March 2013 11:57 AM

Final Cut are legit. They've released some good stuff over the past couple of years and I've been the first to moan that they were DVD only, haha.

Let's hope these turn out good!

And lets also hope Brides doesn't stay at £25!

Rik 29th March 2013 11:58 AM

Yeah, I meant it's the first I'd heard of these releases, Final Cut released House of Long Shadows too. Further digging has found them listed on Sainsbury's Entertainment, but DVD only, I can't find them anywhere else at the minute.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 29th March 2013 12:09 PM

I've received some review discs from Final Cut and they are a small, but committed company.

J Harker 29th March 2013 03:54 PM

Final Cut put out Hammers Curse of the Werewolf on uk dvd. They also released it as a 2 disc steelbook.

Curse of the Werewolf would be very much welcomed as well.

Despite owning the dvd for well over a year now I've still not watched it. Not even sure if it's been in the player. :(

Its one of the best Hammer films in my opinion.

Hawkmonger 29th March 2013 09:28 PM

Yes! Curse of the Werewolf is bound to get a BD re-release soon, please make it so!

I think they just lifted that from blu-ray.com. Even their order links go to the blu-ray.com database entries. Pretty sure those are poster artwork placeholders too.

I'm wondering whether Final Cut even sent that to them or whether they just pieced it together from the Amazon pages.

A few more "Reel Heroes" repackaged blu-rays are being released next week. May pick up a couple of them.

Completely agree

This was one of my most wanted steelbooks and I would have bought this in a heart beat however we get a photo shopped picture of Arnie in front of a burned out forest on both the front and back covers which bear no resemblance to the film

As if the £15.99 price tag wasn't bad enough, so on reflection think I will pass

According to their website *Artwork subject to change so here's hoping......

Crazy when you see Mr Jones getting some nice artwork.
Just wish they'd use RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and drop the Indiana prefix...:mmph:

I complained about that over on blu-ray.com, and got shot down in flames!

Looks like Zavvi are taking up Play's crown as going overboard on the steelbooks though. A few more Fox titles....

That Black Swan cover is very nice indeed.

Andra Jai 1st April 2013 09:14 PM

I don't like the independence day cover any more than I like the Commando cover

Surely getting the artwork right is mandatory with steelbooks

Bringer Of Funerals 2nd April 2013 06:18 PM

I think this is a bad cover

Bullet to the Head [Blu-ray]: Amazon.co.uk: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Momoa, Christian Slater, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Sarah Shahi, Walter Hill: Film & TV

Hawkmonger 2nd April 2013 06:57 PM

It's an awful film anyway.

A Good Day to Die Hard (Blu-ray + UV Copy): Amazon.co.uk: Bruce Willis, Jai Courtney, Sebastian Koch, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Yuliya Snigir, John Moore: Film & TV

Stephen@Cult Labs 2nd April 2013 07:16 PM

That just looks weird.....A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD HARDER EXTENDED CUT.

No, it's really, really bad. It's like a schizophrenic shot Reservoir Dogs but forgot to add anything interesting into the script.

And yet, this man will be buying it. Sylvester Stallone directed by Walter Hill is all the incentive I need. And I bet I really like it too.

I'd advice you to spare the coins, but I know I'll have no sway.

Yeah, just calling it Extended Cut would've sufficed. At least it wasn't Die Hard 2: Die Harder Harder Extended Cut. :pound:

Bringer Of Funerals 2nd April 2013 07:37 PM

I'll get both there is no swaying me into not buying it. I know it will be throw away fun but I cant help it

At least they had the good sense to release that one without cutting it down to secure a lower rating from the BBFC!

Whereas Taken 2 and A Good Day to Die Hard were pointlessly cut by the studios for the theatrical releases.

Have Evil Dead 2 Bluray pre-ordered.
The Lifeforce Steelbook Bluray from Arrow sounds nice
