Have they actually said which format it'll be released on? All I saw was that they said they were bringing it out, but If the Universal titles are anything to go buy, if it comes to BD, there should be a dvd version as well.

The new artwork for Scream Factory's Phantasm II. As usual, the original artwork will be on the reverse. And yes, this will be region locked.

Ashamedly I've never seen any of the PHANTASM films. Is the first on BD at all? I'd like to buy and watch that prior to seeing the second one. Perhaps I'll just grab it cheap on DVD for the time being.

Is it a series with strong continuity? 'The big man' (or is it 'the tall man'?) seems to be in all of them at least.

Phantasms 1 and 2 are well worth seeing and are enjoyably different from other Horror films of the day. Don Coscarelli is sort of like a Frank Henenlotter or a Richard Stanley - his ambitions frequently outrun his budgets but he's a talented film maker. The series is definitely worth investigating...

Agreed. The Phantasm films have long been favourites of mine. Whilst 3 and 4 are the weakest of the series they're still inventive enough to keep you entertained. I really hope Coscarelli gets round to doing part 5. There's still so many unanswered questions that I feel the series needs to come to a conclusive end.

The Town That Dreaded Sundown is long overdue! I don't think I've seen The Evictors, though I could be wrong.
