After watching that trailer my interest has spiked, but being honest, those old classic voice overs just suck me in! It does not matter how crap a film might be, when they tell me in slow motion, in that VHS era low tone, how I need to see 'this' film, I need to see it!. The best example of this would be the old ALPHA VIDEO / Intervision video trailers, especially for Rabid and Shivers etc I loved watching the trailers more than the films.

I found this trailer as an example and if the guy spoke any lower or slower he would fall off his chair and shatter glass.

I know what you mean. Eli Roth got it spot on with the voiceover in his Thanksgiving trailer, which I found reminiscent of Schizoid.
