Hmmm I wonder about Escape From New York. Will the BD have all the extras from the 2 disc dvd or will it be an extras free disc and the dvd the same? Lets hope not! And it's nice to see another great choice from the marketing people ( or whoever it is that chooses crap artwork )

It'll be the movie on both discs but hopefully they'll at least include the extras on the BD. Seems fairly standard for a lot of thrown out big studio catalogue titles to just have them in 480i/p. As long as it looks way better than the shots I've seen of the UK BD I'll be happy! Really really looking forward to Blood Simple though just as much.

The covers look great don't they? They managed to make Kalifornia look like some cheap action movie. I can just imagine Chuck Norris' big head in place of Brad Pitt's.....

Where can one of those be had for a reasonable price?

Region coding is just stupid. That's like being told a book you bought in America can't be read in the UK, or that clothes bought in France can only be worn whilst there. It's petty and idiotic.

I've heard this does the job well.

Limit BDM-100 at HMV

Some people also managed to get it for £50 in-store as well!

There's a big user threat at avforums

Thanks for the link - but they've none in stock and there's no HMV store nearby. At some point I will go multi-region for Blu-ray, that's for sure.

I'd be a bit careful of either of those though just in case they use the same Studio Canal master the UK one used.
