I really enjoyed the film, not his best of course, that's still TENEBRE.
Other dvds I have seen recently are
VIDOCQ - brilliant French horror
INSIDE - together with SWITCHBLADE ROMANCE is one of the best French horrors for years
DRESSED TO KILL - I bought the R1 dvd some years ago and it has the uncut unrated version of the film
Nice bunch of films there James! INSIDE is just breath-taking!

Not my usual but I plan to watch City of Angels.
I think a good 'weepie' will do me good.

I just watched an obscure oddity of a film called The Hood Has Eyez. It played out a bit like I Spit on Your Grave, but was lower budget and more graphic (in some ways) but very bland. It comes from that independent vein of film which copy and exaggerate other films purely to shock, but in the end don't really bring anything to the table... anyone else seen it?

I watched the first of Lone Wolf and Cub films, Sword of Vengeance from the box set I bought recently last night. It’s the 6-disc warrior set. I was really disappointed with the quality of the transfer (looked like video), which is a shame as it seems like it could look really amazing (haven’t watched my copy of Shogun Assassin in a while as someone borrowed it but I remember this looking a lot better).
Still enjoyed it thought plenty of bloody samurai fights and I like watching the expanded story you don’t get with Shogun. Looking forward to watching the rest soon.
