My John Carpenter season continued with the wonderful action comedy Big Trouble In Little China. Excellent!

... and tonight The Thing. IMHO Halloween is the better film, but The Thing comes a very, very close second.

Valhalla Rising

Really enjoyed it, found it easy to get absorbed by the atmosphere...that said, keeping within 90 mins was a wise move.

I actually rank The Thing rather low on the Carpenter rankings, under Halloween, The Fog, They Live. Maybe even Christine.
