True on both counts!

Watched loads lately, far too many to list but one I will mention is Sorority Babes in the blah blah blah. What can I say about this 'film'. Crap acting, crap script/dialogue, crap special fx, crap plot, crap characters, crap monster, but you know what, I ****ing loved it! Absolute prime 80's B movie trash, what do you expect with a title like that, cheese and plenty of it! Added to my never ending wish list 8/10

BRAIN DAMAGE - First time I'd seen it and it was pretty good.

PRIMAL RAGE - Watched this on Netflix (I aint paying over £100 for the CR dvd) and I had high hopes but sadly it was a bit of a snoozer. A good idea and some decent fx but far too much talking.
KPWNINJA and Frankie Teardrop like this.

Just got back from the cinema, watched Lawless and I thought it was great. Superbly acted, beautifully shot, great soundtrack and brutally violent. What more could you ask for? Boobs I hear you say? well lucky for you Jessica Chastain get's em out too

just seen DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUCK
a low budget Canadian exploitaion film from the Sasko twins
a falshback had the 'grindhouse look'
fortunately it was the only scene in a good offbeat thriller with some horror to boot (pardon the pun)

Saw Rumble Fish for the first time since my teenage years - pretentious, arty, borderline ludicrous in its relentless symbolism, but what the hell i still love it. All those deep focus shots look great on blu ray by the way - transfer grumblings on the internet a load of crap - much of the film was obviously meant to be soft focus but the close ups look crystal clear. The fact that the director of The Conversation, 2 Godfathers and Apocalypse Now then made this movie is beyond odd - it's more like the experimental debut of a director just out of art school.
