Tonight I finally got around to watching my copy of Skyfall (U.K. blu-ray). I really liked this in the cinema and if anything a second viewing has reinforced my positive feeling.Another excellent outing for Craig as Bond.

Personally still finding it hard to accept him as Bond but it's a great movie and Bardem is up there with Lee, Kotto and Walken in the baddie stakes

Broken City

Pretty good, floundered a bit after the half way mark. Nice shots of NYC and if you didn't fancy a Scotch before you went in, you will by the time you come out - seemingly every character drinks it in one or more scenes

Contamination

Bloody good fun Couldn't get enough of that compressed air exploding people gag shame the film sagged quite badly in the middle, but I loved the first and third acts. Even the wobbly final alien reveal worked for me - a cheap as chips practical rubber monster is still preferable to weightless, over-detailed CGI to me From the various featurettes I've seen, Cozzi seems like a really sweet guy, down to earth and good humoured (seems unusual for an Italian horror director ) - I'd love to visit that Deep Red shop someday . . .
