Once again Arnie shows he has a knack for comedy. Here the Austrian oak plays a tough as nails cop who has to go undercover as a kindergarten teacher to find the ex wife of a vicious killer he has been after for years, by trying to find the killers ex wife who is in hiding. Arnie is he on top form but the real stars are the kids themselves with the kid obsessed with death(ITS Not A TUMOUR!) And the kid that tells everyone he meets that boys have a penis and girls have a vagina. We also have romance for Arnie . A great feel good comedy. 9.7/10

Orchard End Murder

A great way to spend 50 minutes.
I loved it.Beautifully shot and tremendously acted. It looks like a Pete Walker film due to the DOP being Pete Jessop.
Just a pity it wasn't another 20 mins long.

It's part of HMV'S 2 for £25-so for £12.50,it's worth every penny.

Anyone who's seen MELODY will recognize the female lead.....

The Scarlett and the Black (1983)

The true story of Monsignor Hugh O'Flaherty, a real life Irish-born Roman Catholic priest who saved thousands of Jews and escaped Allied POWs in Rome.

Gregory Peck heads a strong cast as O'Flaherty with Christopher Plummer equally as good as his SS nemesis who swears to stop his Oskar Schindler routine. John Gielgud pops up as the Pope as do Italian genre regulars Barbara Bouchet and Olga Karlatos (Who manages to avoid any nasty splinters.)

It's a fascinating story and a good film (Actually a tv movie) with historical accuracy rather than any Hollywood flourishes, great Rome locations and a striking Morricone score. At two hours twenty minutes it's perhaps half an hour too long, but overall an accomplished piece of work.

The Island of Dr. Moreau 1996

Edward Douglas (David Thewlis) sole survivor if a plane crash is rescued by Montgomery (Valley Kilmer). Arrive at a Island run by Dr. Moreau (Marlon Brando). Who is conducting experiments on animals that turnstiles into humans.

Based on the H.G.WELLS novel and remake of the 1977 movie, from day one this film was plagued by problems. Richard Stanley worked on making this movie for four years and was fired four days into shooting the movie. John Frankenheimer was hired and clashed repeatedly with Van Kilmer who at the time was having personnel problems. Fairuza Balk alleged to have walked off set and was forced to return.

This is not the best remake and not very much close to the novel but was enjoyable, the effects are amazingly created by Stan Winston with the Manimals. 6 out of 10

Dunkirk (2017)

Christopher Nolan's best film since The Dark Knight.

**** out of *****

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)

Not Luc Besson's best film since Leon... ,which was released a long 23 years long ago.

**1/2 out of *****
