I rewatched the 1st episode of season 2 and haven't been back to it......anyone else think it all gets a bit corny and daft in S2?

I like the whole thing, i do feel it is unfocused in series 2 but i love it just because it's so deranged.

X-Men (2000)

A good introduction to the X-Men universe of mutants. Introduces a few core characters and explains what's going on then gets on with a fairly straight forward story which is action packed but thankfully grounded in the real world.

Thanks to Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen the film is loaded with acting gravitas, although Hugh Jackman as Wolverine gets the nod as coolest mutant, just beating Rebecca Romijn's shape shifting Mystique.

What made me smile was the two actors that basically launched the whole Marvel phenomenon... One's from Huddersfield (Stewart) and the other (McKellen) is from Burnley. Just a few miles and one long road apart.

The question is do i go on from here and watch all the X universe movies? I guess time and the restarting Premier League season will tell.

Easily the best of the Franchise.

WARLORDS OF ATLANTIS (1978)

Love this movie. Big nostalgia for me. I saw it on release while on a family holiday. The support movie was DOC SAVAGE THE MAN OF BRONZE (1975). This movie always reminds me of those happy times.

Three women living in a small town who are sick of they lives , get involved with a mysterious stranger , this stranger soon awakens hidden powers of witchcraft in the three woman . The stranger describes himself as your average horny devil , which is partial true as he is the devil. Highly enjoyable thanks largely to Jack Nicholson whom this role seems to be tailored made for. 8/10
