I think that Hills disc is German. Not 100% though.

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 8th October 2009 11:55 AM

Yeah, I think loops is right. NSM are a German or Austrian company. Peter Neal would probably know for sure.

I have a few NSM releases in particular a digipak version of Torso and a numbered steelbook of Ittenbach's Legion of the Dead - shit film but great packaging!

Philleh 8th October 2009 01:36 PM

They're Austrian I believe :)

Kyle 8th October 2009 05:37 PM

pedromonkey 23rd October 2009 11:54 PM

I've got about 1200 or so dvds. I arrange them in genre and groups, like horror A-z then at the end i have Stephen king movies, then sci-fi, comic book, animation, war, Bond, action, crime, 80s kids/sc-fi, then comedy. I have completely run out of space too. I hate when i buy a dvd that i have to fit into my sections, because they're already sorted.

Id say my prized possesions are...
1. Dawn of the Dead ultimate collection.
2. Evil Dead 2 limited To 50,000, tin edition
3. Cannibal Holocaust uncut R4 edition
4. Godfather trilogy - Coppolla Restoration
5. Pitch Black (my first ever DVD)
6. Night of the creeps (bootleg)

on my list to get are....
1. sleepaway camp collection
2. night of the creeps (non bootleg)
3. The Burning
4. The Beyond - uncut
5. House by the Cemetary - Uncut

if anyone wants to trade, hit me up..........

Gigantor 24th October 2009 03:19 PM

If you get the SLEEPAWAY CAMP set let me know what you get in it.The bonus/exttra item varies by region.

just got it in the post. It has the first three movies, each disc contains an audio commentary and has trailers for each film. There is also a very informative booklet that came inside it. It's the r2 edition put out by anchor Bay, watched the first one a 3am this morning and i absolutely loved it. WTF was up with that ending. kick ass film....gonna watch the next two over the next week or so on my new 26" HD TV....

Gigantor 1st November 2009 04:18 AM

Some have a 4th disc in it ,while others have just a poster or whatever.Anchor Bay use to do that with alot of their releases.

The US Diamond DVD of Cat O'Nine Tails is cut. All other releases are intact.

pedromonkey 2nd November 2009 11:32 AM

However Neo seems to selling it on their site.

Sarah@Cult Labs 4th November 2009 10:21 AM

I've got that French release of Cannibal Holocaust, bdc. Picked it up in the Virgin Megastore in Paris. Worth the cost of the holiday alone!

bdc 4th November 2009 12:41 PM

One that will bring back memories of Paris... ;)
The movie is English friendly if I recall correctly, not sure about the extra's...

Pete 4th November 2009 12:52 PM

I was thinking of buying that french edition. It was going for £5 on ebay but i decided against it.

bdc 4th November 2009 08:42 PM

Hey reaps I've been asking bdc about the English friendliness of these Neo releases. Apparently My Dear Killer is the only English friendly gialli release so far... but it also has forced subs. :ohwell:

It's true Neo release some great titles but are not anglais friendly. However, i have a few gialli which are in English (one being My Dear Killer).

Just noticed I forgot Je Suis Vivant (Short Night Of The Glass Dolls) also has an English track (may have forced subs/haven't watched that one yet).
I've edited my original post... ;)
But that should be all in their giallo series.
Of course they also released some gialli outside that series like New York Ripper and some Argento's.

bdc 11th November 2009 10:30 AM

Here's a peek of what's inside the slipcase of one of my Neo Italian crime dvd's.
Who would suspect?
As far as I know of none of these are English friendly btw.

Wow! I must start buying these!

broonage 11th November 2009 03:15 PM

It is incredibly frustrating. Every time I go out I see Neo titles in DVD shops (some really cheap), my French is pretty good but I prefer to watch my favourite flicks without having to concentrate to understand what's being said. So I only buy the English friendly ones. :)
