Now I've never seen 'Get Shorty' (The prequel to it) so I don't know how much alike they are but Be Cool was just horrible to me. It just seemed like the biggest Pulp Fiction rip off and it seemed like whoever made that shit just wished they had made Pump Fiction. God, I know it's popular too. It's so stupid!

FYI, Get Shorty is hilarious. Absolutely brilliant!

I kind of want to check it out just to see what it's like, But at the same time, I am a little scared due to Be Cool.

Me too, Dem. But get Shorty is without a doubt the better of the two. Get Shorty is nothing like Be Cool in most respects, so don't avoid seeing it.

The first one is well worth seeking out. A very good cast on great form. Travolta and Russo were at the height of their coolness. Elmore Leonard's novel translates into a fine piece about crime and the Hollywood movie industry.
