I have a lot of time for Fight Club myself, then again I've never seen a Fincher film that I've thought was anything less than 'pretty good' and that includes Alien 3.

There are very few films I genuinely hate, in fact I can barely think of ten films I can truly say I think are the absolute worst films I've seen. I can give you a rough order of maybe five or so.

1. Anatomy Of Hell
2. Megan Is Missing
3. Timecode
4. Battle: Los Angeles
5. Jonah Hex

Jonah Hex definitely but what's wrong with Anatomy of Hell? What were you expecting?

It's hard to describe but Anatomy Of Hell is perhaps the only film to truly make me legitimately angry from watching it. Long story short, I had heard of the film way back on it's original release and honestly wanted to see what all the fuss was about. The universally negative reviews almost made it out to be an art film which was so pretentious it almost seemed comical. Upon actually watching it, I found the entire thing infuriating from beginning to end. Awful acting, writing, set-pieces, ideas you name it. By the one hour mark, the seething arrogant pomposity of the whole thing made me genuinely unsure of whether or not Catherine Breillat as director was playing the worst kind of cinematic practical joke. I could go on mate, but for me it was the film equivalent of submerging myself in a septic tank. What did I expect? Like anything, something of merit; in this case I got the absolute worst piece of cinematic detritus that I unknowingly threw onto my television.

As you can see, I hate it with a fiery passion.

Wow! It's like that time when someone posted that Dredd was shite and Hawkmonger noticed it.

I think It's a good thing I didn't say I quite liked Timecode.... Not the best film in the world but an interesting experiment.

I'm sure i saw anatomy of hell is that the one with the broom? anyway i'd rather watch something arty and thought provoking, whatever thoughts it provokes than 'Battle,Los Angeles ' which really bored me.
The aliens seemed faceless and just blended in with the background.
It was the first blu ray i saw getting it free with the PS3 and still i felt robbed.

Dem mentioned Dredd and i can honestly say the first Judge Dredd film with Stallone totally p*ssed me off, a few good designs and side characters but the concept and execution was sooo totally wrong.
The new 'Dredd' was much better but still not quite there for me, bring on judge death etc and i will be satisfied.

It's good to to let it out once in awhile.

Yeah, I'm one of those guys who dug the hell out of Dredd but hey ho.

No disagreement there. I want to support every female director out there as there are not enough women directing films in my opinion. However I hate the films of Catherine Breillat with a fiery passion. Romance was utter b*****S. She gained notoriety when art-house cinema started sticking hardcore porn in their films to gain attention for their works from the controversy (balls to the argument their trying to make an artistic statement, its about controversy and sensation and nothing more.) But unlike other directors who pulled the same stunt. (lars von Trier i'm looking at you) once you take the porno out the equation there's nothing else of note in these films.

Try watching films by Claire Denis, she's a much better film maker.
